It’s a Busy Week at St Helens

893a1cab-ae3b-4838-a1b4-ce13f17ee017It’s certainly going to be a busy week at St Helen’s and we have lots of events taking place in the church and the Community Hall. Not to mention that Tuesday is St David’s day!

On Wednesday we have Lent Study: The Psalms. It starts at  10.30am, in the Church and this week we’ll be looking at Psalm 12 (13).

On Wednesday evening we’ll be continuing with The Gift. this will start at 7.00 pm.

Thursday will see Lent to Pentecost, The Pilgrim Journey: A Celebration and Preparation along the road, with Scripture readings, music, and song to help us all get in step along the Lenten way: 7pm this Thursday in the church. An eggsellent Easter preparation.

On Friday there will be a Lent Lunch this in Wesley Methodist Church (12.00 – 1.00pm).

On Friday  there is also Women’s World Day of Prayer – a quiet service at 11am in Wesley Methodist Church, and main Service at 7pm in Mount Carmel.

The Way of the Cross at 7pm will mark the start of Pope Francis’s request for

24 Hours for the Lord

 Following stations we will show ‘Of Gods and Men’, more suitable than ‘The Way’ for in church, then have Exposition + Worship of the Blessed Sacrament till midnight: Please sign in to ‘watch’.

On Saturday the Church opens at 7am. From 9.30am the Blessed Sacrament Exposed for Adoration till 6.15pm: Please sign in to ‘watch’.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated from 10.15 – 11.15am by a visiting confessor, and then as normal from 5.15 – 6.15. The 24 hours will conclude with the Saturday evening Mass.
