Tell his Disciples: “He is going before you to Galilee”: Always called on, following the risen Christ.
In this Easter Season, we continue our synodal journey, seeking together to better discern the Way of Christ and grow in it. In the first synodal exercise and our response to the call to look at where we are as a Parish, and what we need to do, or learn, or develop to continue to grow, we identified several actions, and necessary attitudes. Some we have completed, others we have moved forward with, others we are struggling with. To continue the Journey, the Parish Development Group has identified three questions for us all to ponder, and respond to:
Communion – What activities can we do with children and young people? We should consider the three most viable suggestions.
Participation – How do we identify and reach out to new parishioners, and to those who have stayed away, and make them welcome?
Mission – How can we prepare for the possibility of not having a resident Parish Priest; what training needs do we need as a parish community?
Please take these questions to heart, consider them, talk together about them, here, now; outside or in the hall after Mass; at home; in school; with those you no longer meet at church; in your groups and among your friends, from church, or any other contacts. And please bring back your thoughts and practical suggestions, written down, or texted or emailed to the Parish, or you can complete the form/survey below, or verbally to a member of the Parish Development Group. Or any other inventive way you can imagine! 🤔
